Birds instinctively want to chew. Most toys for these pets are made of colored wood blocks or plastic parts fashioned in different shapes and configurations. At best these toys are mildly appealing to pets. If a bird or small animal has any interaction with these toys, the cause is usually boredom, rather than any particular love for the toy itself. Many of these remain basically untouched until being discarded when they become soiled to the point of creating hygienic problems.
